Lesson 73: Contract and Legal Triage with OpenClaw

Contract review is high risk. OpenClaw can summarize clauses and flag issues, but it cannot replace legal advice.

Skills Used

Search skills.lc for legal, contract, or document review. In this environment, use documents for document review, pdf:pdf for PDFs, spreadsheets for risk tables, and browser for public references.

Workflow

Identify the contract type first: procurement, services, SaaS, employment, NDA, channel, or license.

Extract key clauses: parties, amount, term, delivery, acceptance, payment, breach, confidentiality, IP, termination, and dispute resolution.

Create a risk list: missing clauses, unbalanced liability, vague delivery terms, excessive penalties, auto-renewal, and data-compliance issues.

End with questions for the business owner or lawyer.

Human Review

OpenClaw does not provide legal advice. Signing, editing, or sending contract language requires authorized human review.

Exercise

Give OpenClaw a SaaS service agreement and ask for a clause summary, risk table, and lawyer question list.

Legal triage helps experts see the important parts faster.
