Lesson 67: Competitive Analysis with OpenClaw

Competitive analysis is not a feature dump. It should answer why users choose a competitor, why they leave, what to learn, and what to avoid.

Skills Used

Search skills.lc for competitive analysis, browser, screenshot, or spreadsheet. In this environment, use browser for pages and screenshots, spreadsheets for comparison matrices, presentations for summary slides, and documents for written analysis.

Workflow

Choose dimensions: target user, core use case, pricing, key features, integrations, deployment, security, and onboarding effort.

Collect evidence from public pages, docs, pricing, screenshots, cases, and reviews. Fill the matrix with verifiable facts, not impressions.

Then write judgments: industry baseline, differentiation opportunities, and features not worth copying.

Human Review

Do not attack competitors. Do not use unauthorized screenshots in public marketing. Do not treat anecdotes as statistical proof.

Exercise

Pick three knowledge-base products and ask OpenClaw for a comparison matrix, opportunity analysis, and screenshot evidence list.

Good competitive analysis helps the team avoid wasted motion.
